Let’s just say I’ve been to Sephora 3 times in the past week but I promise one of the trips was strictly a return, well an exchange! That place is like a damn black hole of never ending goodness reaching for the depths of your wallet. I was happy to get a hold of some things I wanted to test out and others were goodies from my little sister who surprised me (she knows me all to well). So I’ve given them all a quick go and wanted to share my thoughts or possibly feature them in future videos/posts.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red – I’ve heard Amelia talk about this being the perfect red so I had to swatch it then actually put it on. I couldn’t leave the store without it, this is the best matte lip formula I’ve ever tried, the best red I’ve ever tried and it’s only $13 bucks! I even convinced my sister to grab one for herself (it happens all the time while shopping with my lip hoarding ass). It’s almost like velvet for the lips but without drying or the cracking effect, I literally want to wear it everyday!
Nirvana White Rollerball – Now I have the full size of this in the Black version which I’ve reviewed here. I love the black but as the Summer approaches I need something a bit lighter, a whiff of this and I was sold! With Peony, Muguet and Tender Musk notes it smells very sensual and fresh.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure – Every single time I go to Sephora this darn blush is sold out until now! There were only two left so I had to pick it up. I love neutral blushes and this is such a great plum toned blush. It’s very soft and gives a really nice sheen to the cheekbones.
Dior Gel Nail Lacquer in Junon – The slate blue grey obsession will never end I tell ya! I can’t get enough of all the blue this season and this shade is another to add to the stash. It’s such a grown up blue but I haven’t slathered it on yet so I’ll report back soon!
YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush in 01 – Oh Anna you enabler you! Her how to wear a pink lip post had me reach for my jacket and keys heading on a mission. I tried this on at the store and it feels very nice on the lips. It’s pigmented and comfortable to wear all day. I usually don’t reach for bolds this shade but it’s a flattering color on my skin tone. I think because it’s a blue based fuchsia I can pull it off, they tend to look better on me.
Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish – I got this mainly to see how it compares to my beloved Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray so keep your eyes peeled for that upcoming post! So far I can tell you that it smells amazing and it gives you mega volume. I purchased the mini bottle so I can easily chuck it in my bag like my Oribe spray.
Hauls are great especially when you’re happy with all the items you’ve purchased because they work! Ahhh Sephora, until next time. . .
