My Thoughts On Natural/Organic Beauty

As of late I’ve been on this natural/organic beauty kick. It feels so good to apply products that aren’t toxic and are clean yet effective too! Natural beauty has made tremendous advancements in formulations and I feel us as consumers are made more aware of what ingredients are being put in/on our bodies. I enjoy trying new products and concepts, especially brands that aren’t the typical cliche unicorn whatever that everyone expects you to test. I’m a curious person by nature, I’m also a gemini so I can’t help it…

Palermo Body is a collection of truly natural skin care products made by hand in small batches by founder Jessica Morelli. I’m a huge fan of her range and my favorites are her facial mist, rosehip facial oil and body oil.

Another brand I’m loving is Herbivore Botanicals, founded by Julia and Alexander (husband & wife) in 2011 in their Seattle kitchen. Pretty fucking inspirational if you ask me. The facial oils are so worth trying! They are made with 100% natural and pure plant oils that will thoroughly hydrate your skin without clogging pores so that it can stop producing excess oil and find the balance it needs.

When it comes to makeup, I’ve given RMS beauty a go and their loose powder is the best I’ve tried , like ever… dead ass. It’s so finely milled and looks good over anything. No powdery residual cake, promise. The NOTO Botanicals Hydra Highlight stick is something I can’t stop raving about, dewy and shimmer but a grown shimmer.

I don’t think that I can fully convert to only using these types of products but I’m happy I’ve begun to incorporate them into my daily routine. The hunt continues…
