Autumn is hands down my favorite season of the year! I love layering clothes and tucking my hair into turtlenecks but I also like to pile a bit more makeup on. I love the muted browns and aubergines but still, like to keep it all natural looking. I’ve partnered with Bobbi Brown and have been using just a handful of products to keep my makeup bag clutter free.
Tips On Transitioning Your Makeup for A/W
I still like to keep my base really clean but less dewy and have a skin-like finish, so I’ve really been enjoying the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick. You can customize the finish because it is in stick form, so you control how much product you are applying to the face and you can build up as much or as little coverage as you feel like you need. It leaves your skin feeling like skin, and wears all day.
I also like to swap out my tinted lip balms and glosses for something with a bit more color but still lightweight. The Crushed Lip Colors are excellent and provide enough pigment to give you a stain while being hydrating at the same time. They really give a pretty flush to the lips– I also like to rub a bit on my cheeks like a cream blush.
The dark romantic look is totally in right now and you can get the look by switching your bronze eyeshadows/pencils to a more saturated brown or taupe. Cool tones such as BB Chocolate Truffle, Violet Night, & Steel Grey pair well with the colder weather months.
Lastly playing with a bit of colored eyeliner wouldn’t hurt either. Sometimes you just need something brightening and adding perhaps a purple or emerald liner to the waterline really perks a look up!
