Typing this post I’m thinking man “they’re gonna kill me” but I had to do it, the pen deserves it! I can’t justify the price for you but then I can also see why this pen gets such great reviews. The formula glides on the eyelid like butter and is so easy to use, even for the novice. Now the consistency is a bit wet at first so those with hooded eyes need to keep the lid (almost) closed so that it doesn’t transfer until it dries. It’s double ended with a synthetic bristled point on one side and a tiny felt tip on the other. Another thing I’d like to point out is that the synthetic bristles never get stuck together (this has happened with my Kat Von D liner), you get a smooth even application.
I like that both caps are the same size so that you don’t accidentally ruin any of the tips while snapping the pen closed. It has some weight to it which feels really nice to the touch when maneuvering. This formula is pretty much solid once on and doesn’t budge at all on me. Now the finish of the liner is semi-matte but looks matte from far away. The pigmentation of this liner is insanely black so there is no need to go over an area you just did. Now the only let down of this product is that it isn’t waterproof… Pro is that it comes off easily at night and con is that if it rains it might run down your face. I have super oily eyelids so I always use a primer but I have yet to have an issue with this formula running or smudging. So did I sway you into maybe giving it a try? #sorryimnotsorry
