This seasons Pantone color of the year, Radiant Orchid. I don’t inject a lot of color into my monochrome life but this is a shade I can accessorize with. It’s a pretty bold shade but I created a look that is wearable even for the minimalist. I’ve rounded up a few fuchsia and purples to give you some options to choose from . . .
Givenchy Croisère Fuchsia – This was limited edition but have no fear I have found a dupe! Remember that shade everyone went bananas for when Lisa Eldridge used it in a tutorial? It was the YSL Rouge Voluptè Shine in Fuchsia In Rage. They’re identical because I swatched them side by side in the store. I went with the Givenchy shade because of the darn leather packaging! I’m wearing this shade in the photo above.
M.A.C Heroine – Another shade people have gone mad for and I must agree! Heroine is a rich pigmented matte purple with cool undertones. It’s almost neon in a way which is pretty cool!
Revlon Matte Lip Balm in 215 – Can’t get a hold of the two shades I just mentioned, then head to the nearest drugstore and pick this up! It’s a tad darker and not as fuchsia like the other lipsticks but it’s just as good.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed – It’s hard to find some type of cheek product to pair with a purple lip but Exposed it a great neutral blush that looks good with just about anything.
M.A.C Sable Eyeshadow – This is a frosty berry shade with bronze undertones. It has enough purple to tie in the entire look.
M.A.C Raven Eye Kohl – This is very similar to the sable eyeshadow in the sense that it has a bronzy undertone once the light reflects on it. This too is a LE shade but a cheaper alternative is the Rimmel Scandaleyes WP Kohl Pencil in Purple.
Revlon Gel Envy Nail Polish in Up The Ante – I couldn’t leave out the nails! This formula is shiny and glossy, no top coat needed. It’s a bright Fuchsia with a cream finish and lasts ages on the nails.
