It’s been rather horrible (weather wise) here on the west coast and today has been nothing but rain. I’ve been testing some new skin, hair and body products so I thought I’d share todays little pamper session with you all!

  • To set the mood I lit my new Belle Fleur Candle in Bergamot Cedar, it’s slightly fruity with mild spice to it. I like to start with my hair and I used the Oribe Signature Shampoo and Conditioner to give it a good wash. Like all Oribe products they smell absolutely heavenly and the duo left my hair super soft! Then afterwards I’ll go in with Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray once my hair is straightened and ready to be styled for some oomph. I added two cap fulls of the Aromatherapy Associates Bath Oil in De-Stress which contains Coconut, Rosewood and Ho Wood Oil. This is very soothing and definitely helps ease the mind while soaking in the tub. I also like to take this time to throw on a face mask depending on how my skins behaving but lets be honest here, a pamper routine wouldn’t be complete without a mask right? I am currently loving the Eve Lom Rescue Mask because it’s been a huge help to calm my irritated pepperoni face. I leave it on for about 20 minutes and use a muslin cloth to remove. My skin usually starts to show improvement as the week goes by.
  •  Moving on to some new skincare I’ve been trying out the Tatcha Ritual Discovery Kit and my skin has really taken a liking to it. It includes their Pure One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder, Radiant Deep Brightening Serum and the Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream. I massage the oil cleanser all over my face and wash it off with a muslin cloth. I then take the rice powder and mix about a dime-sized amount with a few drops of water until it begins to emulsify, this is such a wonderful exfoliator without being abrasive or drying. Lastly I applied the serum to prep for moisturizer. Another amazing product from Tatcha is their Deep Hydration Revitalizing Eye Mask. I popped these on prior to moisturizing my face to get the most absorption out of them, I had them in the fridge for a while so that they would get nice and cold to help with my puffy eyes. These are addicting and I will have to get more! Peel the backing, leave on for 20 minutes and then just pat in the residual moisture underneath the eye. I then piled on layers of the Murad Hydro-Dynamic Cream, the cold harsh weather has sucked everything out of my face and I’ve talked about how amazing this is here! Then for an added layer of eye hydration I pat on the Bobbi Brown Eye Cream which I’ve used for years, super basic but I love it.
  •  Now since I posted a photo up on IG of the By Terry Baume De Rose it would only be fair if I shared my thoughts with you guys. I really wanted to say it’s just a hyped up product because of the hefty price tag but man is this good stuff. This might sound gross but when I first applied it all the dead skin on my lips somehow peeled off and then I was left with plump smooth lips! The smell can be a bit strong at first so those who are sensitive to smell might want to pass. Also if you’re going to purchase it get the tinted balm vs. the original, I have the shade Rose Babe which is a gorgeous light pink. I save body care for last to avoid getting lotions on my face prior to skincare. I’ve been sticking to the Caudalie Divine Oil to help with the rest of my dry ass body. It indeed smells divine and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on the skin either. For perfume I spritz a bit of the Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black, it’s a sensual spicy scent  and perfect for this time of year!

Last step in this whole sesh would be some tea, a snack, and nail painting time. I’ll have to do an updated nail routine at some point but I now like my nail shape to be very short and rounded. I can type better plus it’s much more flattering on my manly looking hands! I’ve been obsessed with the Burberry Polish in Oxblood, it’s been my nail pick for about 2 weeks already and the formula is excellent. I tried it without a top coat and I didn’t see chipping for about 5 days. With a top coat it lasts for about a good week before you start to see wear on the tips. Oh and if you try this at home don’t forget to blow the candle out, I do all the time!
