Tom Ford Beauty Summer 2015
The Tom Ford Summer Soleil Collection for 2015 is absolutely beautiful. From creamy to soft textures it’s the right amount of everything to help achieve that bronzed goddess look this Summer.
Tom Ford Cream & Powder Eye Color ($60 each) – There are 4 eye duos ranging from neutral to bright. I have the shades Golden Peach (think of a peachy pink like M.A.C All That Glitters) and Naked Bronze (burnt rust brown like M.A.C Romp). Both have these high shine pressed glitter pigments above the creamy pot, I expect these to sell out immediately! The cream shadow is so pigmented you only need the tiniest amount and I advise to work in light thin layers if you want to build up color. They almost set instantly so I worked on one eye at a time blending it into the crease with a synthetic brush. I found that applying the pigment part with my finger tips worked best over the cream shadow. These are extremely gorgeous and my favorite pieces from the collection! *I’m wearing Naked Bronze on my eyes in the photo above
Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand ($65) – Encased in this lush white compact is a pretty pink cream blush. When you look at it closely you can see shimmer particles but once on the cheeks it’s more of a healthy sheen. I can only describe as Nars Orgasm blush in cream form without the chunky glitter pieces. In the photo above I used a tiny amount but it can be built up to a higher pigmented finish. It blends like a dream without streaks or emphasizing pores. I have a feeling this will be on my cheeks 24/7 due to its glow-y effect. This and a tinted moisturizer would coincide perfectly. *I used a RT stippling brush for a natural looking application
Tom Ford Lip Color Sheer ($50) – There are 4 lip colors in total, 2 of them being repromotes (Sweet Spot & Paradiso which are photographed above). I have one of the newer shades in Skinny Dip which is a frosty golden peach. The formula is creamy, hydrating and the bullet of the lipstick is squared off vs. the traditional TF lip colors. You can really build up the color with these or wear a sheer layer for a more natural look *I’m wearing the shade Sweet Spot with a dab of Skinny Dip in the center of the lips
Tom Ford Bronzing Powder (0.29oz $65 or 0.75oz $95) – TF have now downsized the massive compact bronzer to a smaller size which will be a bit more travel friendly. They will be a part of the permanent range in both shades (Terra & Gold Dust). I have the larger compact above in Terra which is the cooler of the two shades. I can definitely use this as a contour or bronzer with my skin tone. It looks very matte in the pan but doesn’t translate flat looking when on the skin.
The collection is available for pre-order now at both Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus sites. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the collection. I expected nothing less from Tom Ford and love how light everything feels on the skin, it’s very true to my taste in makeup.
