I knocked out the spring edit and mooge rotation posts, today is all about the contents of my makeup bag. Disclaimer, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to narrow it down when it comes to lip products so about 50% of it is lip based. The *bag that I’m using is from a Jouer in this beautiful blush nude pink shade which surprise surprise isn’t not black! I’m really having a moment with this pastel muted pink shade and I’ve even started incorporating it into my wardrobe! So go over all the crap I lug around. . .
For base : As always my face powder of choice is the Chanel Les Beiges Compact in No30 for touch ups. I also tossed in my *Tom Ford Bronzer in Terra because of the huge mirror, It’s been on my face since it arrived and I’m obsessed! Keeping everything sheer and light for concealer I’ve been using the *Kate Somerville IllumiKate Concealing Eye Cream in 03 Dark. It’s hydrating and gives me enough coverage underneath the eye for everyday. A new product I’ve been testing out recently is the *Wander Beauty On-the-glow Blush in Soft Pink. Its dual-ended with a baby pink cream blush on one end and a gorgeous natural highlighter on the other. It’s so easy to dab on the cheeks straight from the bullet and blend in with your fingers. To re-fresh throughout the day I carry some of the *Tatcha Japanese Blotting Sheets (which are the best in my opinion) and the Glossier Soothing Face Mist Rose Water Spray.
For Eyes : There are a lot of days that all I do is curl my lashes and apply a bit of mascara but If I want to swipe something on quickly throughout the day I’ll reach for the By Terry Ombre Blackstar Eyeshadow in 4 Bronze Moon. It lasts all day without budging and literally takes seconds to apply! To keep my bushy brows in check I’ll use the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette which is a must-have for me.
For Lips : 1…2…3..4 and 7. Yep a total of 7 lip products are in my bag but hear me out ok! I’ll wear a shade then forget its in the bag and wear a different shade the following day, do you see where I’m going with this? Totally my fault but a girl has to have options! Right now I have the Chanel Rough Coco Shine in Evasion, Marc Jacobs New Nudes Lipstick in Anais, *Tom Ford Lip Color Sheer in Sweet Spot, *Jouer Lipgloss in Wind, and the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 04. I just added the new Clarins Lip Balm Perfector in 02 and I must admit, I’m already hooked! For plain hydration I have the *Glossier Balm Dotcom which I mentioned briefly in my April Favorites video.
I told you all I needed a new Spring/Summer scent so I picked up Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne! It smells like soft peaches and when layered with Blackberry & Bay, holy sh*t. . . Overall peaches, neutrals and sheer textures are what I crave come the warmer weather.
