Inside My Winter Makeup Bag

You all know me, I’m not big on change but with this dry air I’ve needed to re-adjust the content of my makeup bag. For base I’ve started using the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation and the Nars Pure Radiant TM again, they’re both very hydrating. The CT gives me a little more coverage because it’s a proper foundation but still very natural and lightweight. The Nars TM is great for those days I don’t feel like wearing too much on my face but need to look somewhat presentable. M.A.C Strobe Cream has worked wonders on my skin, it provides good slip and a pearlescent sheen! If I do powder I’ve been in between the Chanel Loose Powder and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. Both very good powders but they perform completely different. If my face is looking a bit too shiny I’ll use the Chanel powder, if I want a very dewy look then I’ll opt for Dim Light. I’ve talked about the Hourglass powders before but they’re truly one of my favorite makeup items of all time! It gives the skin natural luminosity without the cake or sparkle.

Next up are my concealers, Urban Decay’s Naked Skin and the Chanel Corrector Perfection. I use the UD underneath my eyes due to how creamy and natural it looks, the Chanel really helps when I have dark circles because it has more peach undertones to it. For contouring I’ve been sticking to good ole Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder in Medium. Personally I feel like the only time I can get away with this shade is the winter time because of how ashy and cool it is. Coinciding with contour, the highlight I’ve been using is Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. Sticking to the whole hydrating theme it really makes a difference using a cream product vs. powder and this particular formula works great over top of anything! In my videos I have yet to change up my lip combo even though I just purchased 3 lipsticks. I start out by lining my lips with M.A.C Stripdown Liner then go over it with M.A.C Styled in Sepia (I don’t what I’m going to do once it runs out). I then use a bit of Laura Mercier’s Milky Way to give a bit of dimension back to my lips because it’s a tad lighter.

I’ll leave the eye bits for my next video that’s going up so stay tuned!
