Every now and again my bag becomes this bottomless pit for the same array of lip shade. Now it is no secret that I love me a good brown-y nude, we all know this! Nuff said here’s what I’ve been slapping on my lips…
Dolce Vita Lip Kit (liquid matte lipstick and semi-matte liner) – I know there is a ton of controversy with Kylie’s lip kits, people say they are created in the same factory as color pop, they’re too expensive, etc. Bottom line is I’m a huge fan! I’ve tried color pop liquid lipsticks and they aren’t the same formula as the lip kits (similar in consistency/texture but not overall performance). The liner lasts for ages and can be worn under the lipstick or on its own. One thing I don’t care for is the obnoxious artificial vanilla smell, ugh… Luckily it dissipates once it dries (the liner has no scent).
*Tom Ford Revolve Around Me (semi-matte) – I’m obsessed with this damn lipstick! I wore this in my TF collection preview and since it landed on my desk. It’s creamy, pigmented and can go with pretty much any makeup look. Not to mention the packaging sexy AF…
Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria (matte) – I bought this lipstick back when it first released and kind of forgot about it until I saw someone use it in a video. It has the tiniest hint of plum to it but it’s definitely brown-based. Lurve it!
Kat Von D Bow n Arrow (liquid matte lipstick) – I waited ages to purchase this shade because its always out of stock but it was totally worth the wait. I would say it’s the closest dupe you will find to Dolce K. Both very similar in color but I feel this formula is a lot better when it comes to longevity. Funny story, I wore this the other day and the boy asked me as to why I was wearing mud on my lip, he don’t know…
M.A.C Whirl (matte) – This is the one that isn’t quite brown, I’d say more of a dusty rose but still very 90’s-ish. I love the way this looks on me especially with thin winged liner, bomb.
Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude (matte liner) – This to me is the mother of all browny nude lip liners, I would be perfectly content to only owning this lip liner for the rest of my life (dramatization). It looks good on its own, with some lip balm over top, or paired with any lipstick I own. Bloggers honor.
*Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion in Naked Ambition (semi-matte) – When swatched this makes me think of M.A.C Spice lip liner but in liquid form, maybe a little less rusty. This is such a nice formula and I really want to try more shades from this range.

Hopefully I don’t get a dud though and it is as great as yours! I have also been wanting buy Bow and Arrow but I may hold off now until I try Dolce K! x

Bow N Arrow is never online at the Sephora NZ site-although I am tempted by Lolita which looks similar to Dolce K too? I dunno. I still think Kylie’s lip kits are the best liquid lipsticks-Posie K is my jam! The scent surprisingly doesn’t bother me-I think mainly because the considerably cheaper ones I’ve tried smell disgusting so this is quite pleasant.
