I’ve been secretly testing this new base from Smashbox Cosmetics and I must say it gets a huge thumbs up from me! I was first intrigued by the “BB Water” title and the fact that its oil-free. It has a dropper/pipet applicator which can be a little messy but the upside is you can control how much product you dispense. Now I immediately thought this would be like those new gel foundation formulas which dry to a very powdery finish (which I hate) but it was the complete opposite. I would describe the finish as semi-matte without being cakey or drying. It’s a light to medium coverage depending on how many layers you apply and never feels heavy on the skin. Since we’re just getting into Autumn I’m in between Light Medium and Medium, in a few more weeks I’m sure I’ll be Light Medium (I’m a M.A.C NC35 for reference). I personally never have issues with foundation lasting but I’d say you can get away with an 8hr wear, you might need to powder though! So overall good stuff, worth adding to your stash if you’re looking for something light and a bit more coverage than the average tinted moisturizer.
