Inside My Winter Makeup Bag
You all know me, I’m not big on change but with this dry air I’ve needed to re-adjust the content of my makeup bag. For base I’ve started using the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation and the Nars Pure Radiant TM again, they’re both very hydrating. The CT gives me a little more coverage because it’s a proper foundation but still very natural and lightweight. The Nars TM is great for those days I don’t feel like wearing too much on my face but need to look somewhat presentable. M.A.C Strobe Cream has worked wonders on my skin, it provides…
Poolside Essentials
So after a long relaxing day at the pool I thought (can’t take the blogger out of me) I’d share what I lugged with me. I don’t bother wearing makeup if I’m out in the sun just because it will end up melting off but I will protect my face! I spoke about the *Kate Somerville Daily Deflector SPF 50+ in my skincare video, this is an excellent face spf that isn’t sticky or heavy on the skin. Sunglasses are a must-have which coincide with the hat, they both help shield you from the sun while looking stylish at the same…
My 5 Minute Face Drawer
Remember I was telling you guys I wanted the double mini mooge stack to store everyday items? I was able to get a hold of them in NYC and I’ve officially renamed them my “5 minute drawers”. The top drawer houses makeup I might be testing or multi-tasking products to get the job done fast and efficiently. For base I’ve been using the Chanel CC Cream in 40 Biege on days I want a bit more coverage than my *Kate Somerville CC Cream. I apply them both with my hands and it literally takes seconds to do. For concealing the Chanel Perfection…
Current Everyday Makeup Routine
I’ve been keeping my everyday very simple and trying to add as much hydration as I possibly can due to all the cold dry weather! Like I said in the video it’s pretty simple but different to my normal brown neutral looks, I’ve added a hint of pink to the mix. I hope you all enjoy the look and I’ll see you in the next one!
Perfecting My Eyeliner Technique
We all suffer from wobbly-itis when it comes to feline flick’in it. I’ve had my fair share of un-even lines over the years but I’m proud to say I’ve finally got my technique down-packed! I can’t take all the credit because tools are what make or break in this case. I’ve tried gel, pencils, liquid formulas and I will say the easiest form to apply is a liquid pen. Gel can get messy and tricky if you have the wrong brush. Pencils can be harder to get a sharp clean line and can tug on the eyelids if the consistency isn’t…
Getting Myself Ready For Special …
I love a good pamper session before any important event I have planned! I tend to do this routine the night before so that my skin and teeth are ready on the actual day. As nice as a day at the spa sounds I like the comfort of my own home and being able to prep at my own pace. 1. I’ll light one of my Diptyque Candles and fill the bath with my Aromatherapy Associates Oil in De-stress to set the ambiance. 2. Make this year the year you strike a pose with your smile. #StrikeASmile and let Crest 3D…
